Primal power, that sounds… beastly beautiful! Triggered by the stimulating sentences on their website and because of the special design of their office, we visited Dizain.
Dizain, what exactly do you do?
René Blokzijl, managing partner of Dizain, explains: “Dizain is a strategic and creative branding agency. This means that we help companies and brands discover who they are and then translate that into communication, symbolism and behaviour.” Ah, that is that primal force! “Exactly!”, confirms René. “We come up with brand names and develop visual identities, creative concepts, communication tools and activation campaigns for our clients. We do this for both online and offline channels and both in images and text. For example, we employ designers and digital designers, but also strategists, content marketers and project managers. This gives us the opportunity to deliver work that is distinctive. And well, that in turn ensures that brands become truly attractive and customers become real fans.”
The primal power of the Media Center
Dizain is a resident from the very beginning and eleven years later the Dizainers still work with great pleasure in the media and ICT heart of Groningen. A place with a good primal force. René: “Yes, it is bustling here in the Mediacentrale. It is a place full of creativity, where many companies that work in the creative sector are also located. That is an important reason for us to be here. Moreover, the Mediacentrale is located in a beautiful and central place in the city and on the railway. We are very happy with that!”
Well René, we are also happy with Dizain. What a wonderful office you have. From a tree house in the middle of the office – where you can retreat for a while if you want to work quietly and concentrated – to a Swiss alpine meadow where you immediately get the feeling that you are sitting 'on the heath' with your colleagues. The built-in Swiss chalet, the cuckoo clocks, the red checked tablecloths and the possibility to have a meeting with your feet in the (artificial) grass must provide a lot of creativity and inspiration. “Dizain is a special club and much more than a place to do our work. We think it is important that we enjoy going to work. The workplace is very decisive in this and that is why we do everything we can to make our employees feel at home. That can only benefit creativity and that benefits our customers.”
Brands that discovered their primal power
But… who are these customers actually? Which brands were allowed to search for their primal power together with Dizain and now make daily use of the beautiful visual and textual productions of this special company? Not the least, we can tell you.
