A significant reduction in CO2 emissions and therefore better air quality and less noise pollution; electric driving has its advantages. There are currently around 90,000 electric cars on Dutch roads, of which more than 10,000 are fully electric. That number is expected to increase significantly in the coming years, partly because the government is increasingly encouraging electric driving. Waarborg Vastgoed is also happy to contribute to this sustainable transition.<\/p>\n
We do this by, among other things, equipping more and more of our buildings with charging stations. Last week, two so-called Stek charging stations were installed at our building on the Peizerweg. Each charging station has two charging points, so that a total of four electric cars can charge simultaneously. The charging stations are specifically intended for the residents of the Peizerstate. If you drive an electric or hybrid car, you can charge your car from this week at the specially designed charging spots of the Peizerstate.<\/p>\n
Stek is an initiative of Green Business Club Twente. The foundation, which was established at the end of 2015, has a clear goal: Twente must be the most sustainable region in the Netherlands by 2025. Fortunately, the foundation also supplies charging stations outside Twente and we are allowed to try out the Stek charging stations in Groningen.<\/p>\n
Together with the electric drivers of the Peizerstate, we will test the STEK concept in practice in the coming months. We will monitor the experiences, the costs and the use of the charging stations. If the results are positive, we will quickly install additional Stek charging stations. Not only at the Peizerstate, but also at the other buildings of Waarborg.<\/p>\n
