Een forse vermindering van CO2-uitstoot en daardoor een betere luchtkwaliteit en minder geluidsoverlast; elektrisch rijden heeft zo zijn voordelen. Op dit moment rijden er zo’n 90.000 elektrische auto’s op de Nederlandse wegen, waarvan ruim 10.000 volledig elektrisch. Dat aantal neemt de komende jaren naar verwachting fors toe, mede doordat het Rijk elektrisch rijden steeds meer stimuleert. Ook Waarborg Vastgoed draagt graag haar steentje bij aan die duurzame transitie.
Plug that plug into a Stek
We do this by, among other things, equipping more and more of our buildings with charging stations. Last week, two so-called Stek charging stations were installed at our building on the Peizerweg. Each charging station has two charging points, so that a total of four electric cars can charge simultaneously. The charging stations are specifically intended for the residents of the Peizerstate. If you drive an electric or hybrid car, you can charge your car from this week at the specially designed charging spots of the Peizerstate.

Stek is an initiative of Green Business Club Twente. The foundation, which was established at the end of 2015, has a clear goal: Twente must be the most sustainable region in the Netherlands by 2025. Fortunately, the foundation also supplies charging stations outside Twente and we are allowed to try out the Stek charging stations in Groningen.
Together with the electric drivers of the Peizerstate, we will test the STEK concept in practice in the coming months. We will monitor the experiences, the costs and the use of the charging stations. If the results are positive, we will quickly install additional Stek charging stations. Not only at the Peizerstate, but also at the other buildings of Waarborg.
